True, in real life its not like someone comes up to you to hand you a map in every single place you go and you have to familiarize yourself with the area and look around a bit and this gives you more of an incentive to explore.

UNLESS you live in a town based on a random level generator á la Diablo!... which would be a cool feature for Fable II, though highly unlikely.

Would also give people more reason to explore, each game has its own way of 'persuading' gamers to do it.

That would make finding certain items and such hard though as there could be no guide telling you where to get it should you not be able to find a certain thing for a quest for example.
