Titles and other questions

im still confused on some things. how to you gain a title? *necromancer, paladin, witchhunter...* do tattoes have something to do with it, alignment, actions? and what is the difference between white, red and green reputation? im guessing white is better than green, but i dont know what it means.

You buy the titles from name vendors depending on what you want the people of Albion to refer to you as.

Green = Good Rep
Red = Negative Rep (Disabled)
White = (See Angels Post)

You can buy them. There's a title vendor standing right outside the guild doors at lookout point. Ones at the Arena. And there are a couple more.



Names like Necromancer or Paladin are only attainable by donating to the temple of Avo or sacrificing at the temple of skorm

You receive white rep pips when someone tries to give you a rep point, but does not have enough repping power for it to be valued as green. Everyone starts out on the forums with 10 rep points. If for any reason this level falls below ten (which really only lies in the hands of the staff as Andy has already pointed out that it is disabled for members) then whoever is trying to add to someone else's reputation can only give white rep - which counts as nothing, so your overall count will not increase if you receive it.

I decided to disable the ability to donate negative rep because I believe it's just a better idea to not give out any rep at all and only reward people for helpful, informative posts; plus I've witnessed childish little 'hate campaigns' go on where users are given negative rep for no reason other than to be demoralised by other members. Also, I doubt members would like to see a nasty red pip staining their profile forever.

I used to get negative rep on another forum for no reason. I didn't say anything hateful towards anyone, I tried to be helpful and productive but I ended up with -4 Karma (rep) Not a very nice experience.

It is just a pointless system to have negativity in that form on a forum - it just makes some people end up feeling victimised...which serves no purpose. I remember getting negative Karma (rep) on another forum because I didn't think someone else's joke was funny...that's how petty it can be...and even worse when staff abuse it, which I've seen happen elsewhere too...
