There is always somebody to spread the word. If you nail the entire town why do guards keep coming at you then? They send word through their little travelling pigeons which have long disappeared using their warp engines... I mean wings.... by the time you have polished off the town.... meaning more guards come, send more pigeons, one of which gets lost and then appears in another town. Beside apparently the entire heroes life is chartered by the guild....

To quote what the game told you in the beginning when you were a child. "Word travels fast in each town of your good or bad deeds."
I didn't tell on the poor schmuck that was cheating on his wife, and I got a lecture from one of the guards across the town for my "bad deeds."

Re: town respesct
Time heals most wounds. In the situation that you're thrown out of town, at least, if you look at the screen that comes up when you attempt to Teleport somewhere, it will tell you how long you have to wait before the people of the village will forget your crime(s). Strangely enough, it tends to take only about eight minutes of play-time before the people don't remember that you slaughtered a couple members of their town. Fickle townsfolk I guess...you could kill someone's best friend, and they wouldn't mind it in the morning.
In the case that your morality shifts dramatically to the negative, if you've already been to Twinblade's Camp, go back there and kill the remaining bandits a few times and your morality will head back towards the positive. It's funny, you can wipe out basically the entire camp (other than the Traders, Mercenary, and the "Spot the Addition" Guy) and when you leave the area and come immediately back, there will be a whole new set of bandits for you to kill. Didn't they notice the bloodstains on the "lean-tos" left over from you killing their friends?
That said, I once wiped out the entire town of Hook Coast in the original "Fable," and when I went back there, no one was around...even after I had been away long enough for my crimes to be forgotten.

I wiped out Bowerstone North, house by house, and it took awhile for the town to respawn.

Okay this is a matter of pacience. If you've conquered the town, and come back later fully good, you need to wait for forgiveness and respect. Try gifts. Also, reknown plays a special role in this, high reknown makes it easier, even with high reknown and high evil, it is sometimes possible to get a wife in town.
I don't think no one saw you. The guards and villagers would only be unhappy if they knew about it or if you're meter was currently low. Or it could be by the way that you dress. Evil clothing maybe?

HOW THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT? Unless you had mercenarys. Other than that, villagers in Bowerstone are invulnerable to punches. Townguards aren't but it takes an eternity for them to die by fists.

Thats kinda hard when you have 2 or 3 guards jumping on you with their swords as the other shoots.
You can kill lady gray like that though.

Hot hacks (arrow trick). I figured the mayor should actually own the town, so I slayed all of Bowerstone South/North. I can dig up some screenshots of my providence.

The teacher and children are invulnerable even to mercenarys and guard arrows. How do you bypass that??

What a waste of man power. I'd rather sack the town and have a nice little invasion.
