Re: Travels of a Hero
So I went to the Long forest of darkwood to consider everything that has happened and decide what im going to do. As i walked into the forest I came up to a trader that asked for help he said "I can find me way! Im lost!" I thought for a second and then I told him

Re: Travels of a Hero
legendary Balvorn! I had always been told they had died out many centuries before...but there it was, standing over something lying on the ground, with its back to me. I inched closer, adjusted my aim and then stopped. If this Balvorn could be captured alive just think of the possibilities? The fame and fortune? A twig cracked beneath my feet and the Balvorn suddenly spun around, sniffing the air suspiciously. I could hear it panting...see the blood dripping from its jowls...I caught a glimpse of what was on the floor and saw that it was none other than...

Re: Travels of a Hero
Captain Rufion Shane, the Darkwood Bordello watch leader. If anything could take him down, it was the Balvorn. A desperate look crossed my face as I shifted my attention to the behemoth creature, letting out a roar of bloodlust and baring its yellowed fangs like knives. I could feel its warm, horrible breath in the air and ran, drawing my bow. I would have to do this the hard way. I scrambled up the side of a large, toppled rock, the Balvorn slowly circling around my area, a look of ferocity in its glazed eyes. Wait- glazed eyes? That was it- the Balvorn was blind! As I reached the top of the boulder, I...

Re: Travels of a Hero
...nocked my arrow and took careful aim. With pin-point precision, I shot the arrow within a hairs breadth of the Captain. He stirred, groaning a little and leaning up onto one arm, the other wrapped around his waist to stem the flow of blood coming from a wound that the Balvorn had inflicted. He looked up groggily, spied me on the boulder and then shot a glance at the Balvorn - still sniffing the air and staring with unseeing eyes. Slowly and with much difficulty, the Captain pulled himself up to a sitting position and with his free hand he drew a small blowpipe from his belt and put it to his lips. It was augmented with silver, the only really enemy of the Balvorn, and the dart inside was tipped with a poisonous silver compound. The Balvorn was still trying to sniff me out and was no longer paying his former prey any attention. The Captain took a deep breath and...

Re: Travels of a Hero
blew mightily on the end of it, the shining dart exploding out the other end to land in the Balvorn's immense, dark back. The Balvorn roared in rage and clawed at its back in vain as I escaped through a crevice between two trees and a wedged boulder. The last I saw was the Balvorn, bleeding profusely from its wound, leaping over a crumpled patch of ruined trees where it had entered the path. Then I recalled Captain Shane, and crawled out of my brief hiding spot to try and find him. He was in fact wounded, but I tended to it with the best of my knowledge of herblore, decent enough to remedy his wounds for the moment. I would have to get him to Oakvale if he were to survive the bite. I was no professional healer. With him in tow, I...

Re: Travels of a Hero
remembered what my Jedi master taught me when I was a Padwan, and used my light saber to chop off his hand. I knew that a wound inflicted with a Lightsaber wouldn't bleed. We then returned to Naboo in my ship, R2 was curious as to why I was bringing a medieval guard back with me. We then hit lightspeed and rushed off to..

Re: Travels of a Hero
okay... whatever the hell that was...
the deepest area of Greatwood, where two fat Earth Trolls were arguing and hurling rocks at eachother with odd roars and squelching noises. I approached, the Captain behind me, wounded but fit for a fight (hey- he kept the peace at a Bordello...). I stepped forward, brandishing my obsidian katana menacingly, the Captain instead tripping over his obscenely large boots and landing in a three foot deep puddle of pond scum. However, my display of boldness went unnoticed by the two behemoths... Dammit, I thought, cursing my bizzare shortness and my inability to be a bit menacing. I then...

Re: Travels of a Hero
Piemasters. The spell rained down chicken pie upon the almost-defeated Earth Trolls, burying them in a zesty pile of disturbing foodstuffs and releasing the unbearable smell throughout Greatwood. At this point, I was beyond saving the captain. It was far too late. Blindly, I picked up my bow and ran, but I then realized it was not my bow at all, but a...
