Two Worlds has some hiccups

Quote:
The back of the box for Two Worlds, the latest in a recent string of RPG titles for Xbox 360, proclaims, "It's like Oblivion on steroids!", courtesy of Hardcore Gamer. If true, Two Worlds is indisputable evidence that steroids are not just bad for you, they are downright destructive.
Chad Grischow of Planet Xbox 360 reviews Two Worlds and highlights one of the major problems with the game - which is also meant to be one of the main features...read the article here:

Re: Two Worlds has some hiccups

Indeed. You know what the unoffical slogan for Two Worlds is?

'Oblivion on steriods - shrunken testicles and all!'

But it is a real shame really. The 'real' Two Worlds, the PC version is actually quite a game! The 360 port however, seems to have been made with the single purpose of squeezing every single penny out of the franchise with as little effort as possible.

I am extremely dissapointed - I had this down as the thing to fill the void until Fable 2 and Mass Effect...

Its alright. The multiplayer is laggy then again most games are when they come out.

Well as I said - the premise of the game is alright. The PC version seems awesome. It is just the 360 port that sucks major... suckable...things.. that you can suck.

Re: Two Worlds has some hiccups

man, this game looked like a piece of total crap to begin with... from the moment I first started hearing about it and all it was, was buzzwords.. amazing this, excellent that, with no specifics nailed down to the point where no matter how hard Andy and I searched we couldn't nail down a single fact about actual gameplay...
I've been wary of touching that game with a 10 foot pole on the end of a 10 foot pole

When the whole online part doesnt work properly and the game crashes at every chance as well as looking appalling, it seems Two Worlds has choked to death more than got some hiccups on 360. What were Gamespot thinking when they said it had 'Nice looking visuals' and 'Numerous little performance hitches.'

What is even sadder is the fact that the multi player part is just simple modes like Death Match / Team Deat Match... and some co-op thingy, but it is not like you play the Single Player with a friend. Nuh-uh. For that you'd need to look at the PC version. Oh.. this seemingly divine PC version.

Re: Two Worlds has some hiccups

From what I can find, there should be a patch available in the next couple of weeks or so...but it is warned that it probably won't fix the problem straight away...like it was even expected it would...

"High Priority" patch

They couldnt even get that to work... thats insane. Why didnt they just delay the 360 version to tweak it? Quite annoying that some companies are rushing games out and leaving the Xbox Live part broken. COD 3, GoW and The Darkness were good examples, COD 3 had terrible game connection issues as did GoW and The Darkness experiences major lag.

Yeah. I mean, I am no top programmer(...yet) but even I can understand that there are limits to what you can change with a patch. I mean, alot of things has to have been hardcoded into the core of the game and not simply just 'fixed' with a patch.

Fact its called a 'High Priority' patch means a lot. More like, if you dont get this patch your game is 98% broken from purchase.
