Villagers - armed and harmless?

After hours of tinkering I finally got my modding tools to work(well partly, Albion and Fable Explorer wont work - but there are ways around that).

So poking around the game files I saw two items named OBJECT_AXE_VILLAGER_01 and OBJECT_AXE_VILLAGER_02.

Waaa? Villagers got weapons now? So I decided to add them to a chest and try them out. The results were...funny, to say the least.

Pretty funny how the axe is held upside-down. They do resemble the weapons the Hobbes use, but they've got their own line of "objects".

Anyone seen these axes or stumbled upon an armed Villager? Or is it just some peices of scrap that never got into the game?

Would be pretty funny seeing an armed mob of Villagers charging at your Hero at times.

Yeah I saw these on the modding forum. There was this guy complaining and asking how he could hold it normally, as it was the perfect old school beheading tool.

Maybe the Hobbe Axe is held correctly...gonna check into that.

Anyhow, I wish the Villagers would indeed put up a fight. As I said, the angry mob-concept would be pretty cool.

Well some do... I remember fighting some villagers.. but then again I am not a reliable source.

It was probably the fist fighters.

i know where those axe's are from. those are the axes that hand on the walls of some weapon shops
