I would recommend Avast.
Email
IM
Network Firewall
Internet Firewall
P2P protection
And the common stuff like virusscan, real-time memory checks and so on. Started using Avast 2 years ago and haven't had a single virus in that time. Even though I have downloaded quite a bit.
avast! antivirus - high security and protection from malware with anti-spyware and anti-rootkit software built in

But the best advice is:
Dont click, download or view suspect files.

i would definitely agree, plus it has a pretty interface, kinda like a media player.
