Visual Interpretations

Visual Interpretations

Aside from a telepathic informative on a previous thread I just thought I could make a thread concerning the latest diary of Fable 2, but not exactly about it. By the way, if this is spam, you can go ahead and close it. I don't know why you would ask me if it was alright, anyhow Just don't insult me and go, "What the hell is the point of this?"

Anyway, I saw alot of things on the Lionhead Video Diary Episode 2 that I found really cool, from large landscapes to killer looking axes. So, basically, i'll pull up some pictures from lionhead.net, and you can tell us what you think it is. I mean, you have a greater chance of being wrong, but it's always good to brainstorm some ideas...and even cooler to see what they actually turn out to be, and hey, maybe you'll be right!

The carriage shot
Warning, this is a spoiler!

Well, apparently this is a picture from Bowerstone (might not be actually), but what do think this picture can tell us? The size of bowerstone? How much it has changed? What do you see in the picture that you think is important? Why am I asking about all this?

Warning, this is a spoiler!

Here are the rusty, steel, and master katanas. There are alot of observations concerning this, one is how the design of the handle changes as the katana morphs into Master form, let alone the blade. Looking at the katana, how do you see the other weapons looking?

Warning, this is a spoiler!

Here you see shortbow varients. Note, it said 'shortbow'. Will there be longbows? What do you think about the design? Furthermore, what else do you see in the picture, and what do you think it is?*points to the sword to the right*

Warning, this is a spoiler!

Axes from rusty, steel, and master. Notice as the blade increases, it gets a darker design. What else do you observe?

The 'Sea Creature'
Warning, this is a spoiler!

This is a very, very interesting picture here. It seems by it's height difference, this doesn't look like a large animal, but it also seems we're getting some more diverse creatures. Judging by the look, this is a lizard-like creature, and probably resides in the jungle. Maybe you're dog can eat it. I'd like to see that.

'The Way Home' (The Dock)
Warning, this is a spoiler!

This art peice has so much character. First, looking at the landscape, we can see more tropical places in Albion, or maybe out of it. Lands roll in the distance, palm trees dot the way along the docks, a large gleam of sun shines on a ship arriving. What is this place? What do you think this dock will have? Is this going to be a dock-city? Etc.

Yea, I know, this is all concept art. And truthfully, not all of the concept art ideas make it to the game, but these look bound to end up in Fable 2. Not only do these prove of Fable 2 expanding, it also proves Lionhead is continueing their world of emotion, action, landscape, adventure, and lizards.

Feel free to post more pictures you see in the diary, and comment on them. Like I said before, this is a thread for what you think the pictures are, what they could be, and might just be. Observations from the fans point of view.

Wow LHT, this was a great idea. I love the new Katanas, much better than the old ones. I put the Town drawing into photoshop and blew it up some, and the tower to the right of the big castle seems to have something coming out of it's spire that looks extraordinarily like a cross. PM did say that there were Chapels of Good and Chapels of Evil, perhaps they are developing into modern religions?

Re: Visual Interpretations

i like all the concept art... especially the bowerstone, dock, and katanas... never was very big on the axes... also i was very glad that they confirmed pistols... i knew they had guns and i was pretty sure theyd have pistols but all that had been officially shown were rifles and while i like to snipe in halo and such i dont think id enjoy doing it in fable 2 more than a few times... still hoping that you can dual weild pistols... i just imagine using each pistol once killing 2 bad guys, dropping them and going to work with your sword... or just have some guy running at you screaming with his sword about to slash you and you just haed shot him with a pistol... also hope that gunshots are realistic in damage... at least against human enemies

Re: Visual Interpretations

Now those could be passed off as Katanas. The ones in fable are far too thick. These look reasonably graceful.

I never really used a katana in Fable 2. I guess I was just a bow guy

I'll post more pictures of the diary, Lionhead.net left out alot of important things, such as a possible concept art of Lucien.
