I'm going to this Sound Relief concert to see some killer acts play for the Victorian Bushfire relief fund. I'm the only one of my mates who can spare the cash, and is even into the bands playing, so I'm gonna be forced to go alone.

I'm not a big concert goer (second major one), I was just wondering if it's weird.

Why would it be weird? You're going to go and do something you're going to enjoy so go ahead. I've been to concerts, comedy shows, theatres...all sorts on me own. I figured, why wait for other people to have the money to join me when I can bypass all the complaining about who wants to do what and just go on me own?

Not weird at all, i mean id rather go alone than miss out on what could be a fantastic concert.

I know, but I'd rather have someone there to share it with (and I don't have any ladies to ask ). Plus there's sort of a thing over here (I don't know if it exists internationally) about going to sport's games by yourself. Just didn't know whether it applied to concert's aswell.

I have a very... select taste in music. I'm more of a mainstream rock/classic rock kinda guy. Most of my friends are into pop, techno, hardcore, etc.

Well, I don't know many girls in the first place, and thinking of one who would actually like to go see these bands (not to mention have to spend time with me) is almost impossible.

Also, on a side note: This is more your medley gig. Heaps of well known artists are getting together for "short sets packed with hits". Some old favourites who I thought I was never gonna get to see, like Midnight Oil and Hunters and Collectors are going to be reuniting for it.

I can't think of anyone else who like's Midnight Oil.

Im sure you know someone who would at least enjoy it somewhat. Maybe they arent as into classic rock and such as you but could enjoy it regardless.

I am not Australian, nor do I know anything about Australia except Wildfires, Trilobites, Kangaroos, and the Outback.

Edit: I know you did not ask my advice specifically.
