I'm sorry but I really really drought that Fable 3 will have mounts, no matter how much I wish I don't believe it will. Unless in this short period of time they pulled a oblivion on us but I drought that.

I was going to pick horse by default, but upon seeing the options of a cow and a monster, I picked all three!

i doubt it actually, i see PM trying to get rid of the load screens meaning the world feeling larger. I though in my opinion, would like some tame monster (which is introduced in Fable 3) and is kind of very elegant, and maybe an extra follower (along with your dog) like a hobbe, the hobbe shouldn't be very powerfull just, to have a bit of character along with you, like its stupid and lazy (at some points just hops on your dog.) It would create abit of character to your posse, since the dog doesn't do much but play aroundand run. In the starting levels (as a child) you could find it abondonned after its parents were killed by some bandits. And as the child you see it develop into a lazy fat hobbe, and sticks onto you like a mother. The dog idea is cool.

But i would also love to see cows, cats, dogs, pigs and other animals. Since most sandbox games such as GTA IV, Saints Row 2, Fallout 3 and Oblivion have had few or no animals used as pets, or for agriculture. Often they're just enemies.

I also vote horse by the wa since the monster i am thinking of would walk like a horse and be as elegant as a horse. The Naruto thing is a good idea

I would like :
A cow
A dragon
A rabbit
nothing

Or nothing, that's simple. Fable one I liked the most since I could travel on foot and battle
enemies. So, Either I would mount a rabbit or I wouldn't mount anything

I'm in the group that doesn't want a mount.

Roads aren't like long and don't tend to be straight for very long
Towns are quite close together
Enemies are quite close together on road so unless mounted fighting was really good it would just be irritating
In towns there generally isn't much space to ride around on a horse

you really wouldn't get as much good use from these things as some people think. These reasons are aslo why I don't want vehicles (which would be even worse than mounts and very unwieldy.)

I doubt that I would ride anything too much, but one does wonder how those carriages drive themselves in Fable 2 so I guess you do need to have horses. Also it looked kind of like there was going to be war on a rather large scale coming and you would want horses for that I should think.

I actually liked the idea about having a hobbe sidekick, along with my dog of course ( touch the dog and die!). I think it would be really cute but since this thread is about mounting ( and NOT the fun kind) I guess I won't chatter on about that anymore.

Like I said...most likely wouldn't ride anything. The only reason I broke down and got a horse in Oblivion was because I got sick of running around getting lost and not even having anything to fight. Fable is much better when it comes to that and if you are tired of walking just warp...not a big deal.

If I had the opportunity to get a beautiful Albino tiger thrown in there I would ride him all through town baby! Ya know, like from the Heman cartoons.

Okay so I am showing my age. Other then that I would like to ride a Balvarine. Mount that bad boy Gears of War 2 style and create some havoc!


All of that said, I just hope that in adding things like mounts the little things that we have begged for( my stupid spouse wearing what I buy them instead of rags and doors that shut) don't get left behind. Sometimes more is not better...it is just more. I will walk thank you. (with my dog)

I'm very against mounts, always seems like a good idea in theory but the physics are awkward and it's just never worth it.

I love oblivion, i'm embarrassed by how many hours i've spent on that game but i never use the horses, it's just not worth it.

If fable 2 felt like there was something missing then yes, horses. But there is no issue with travel at all.

Horses could work, but they might also not work, so why take the risk. If it aint broke, don't fix it.

i acually wouldn't mind riding a balverine. thats acually a pretty good idea, they can also be used as a weapon like running into a bandit and letting the balverine kill the bandit.

Balverine > Horse now.
