Re: What You Listening To?
I am listening to the most awesome and powerful of all genres...... Death Metal!!!
Song: Crush The Industry
Artist: Dethklok
Album: Dethalbum III (when it comes out, most of the song is already on youtube and it's amazing!!)
On another note....... Rap, Hiphop and all other forms of mainly electronic music, beside the occasional Eminem song, is ghey.

Re: What You Listening To?
[QUOTE=Zjuggernaut;350094] Death Metal = Epic Failure.
No u!
Death metal is hardcore & great because:
It's the heaviest music out there
It requires talent in that the drummers must be able to play really fast epic rhythms, the guitarists have to play really fast complicated solos that if you were to stare at their fingers your eyes would bleed before they could follow them, the singing is very loud, low pitch, and just as fast as any rap song in many Death Metal songs, even the bass is brutal, and that is hard to accomplish.
Violins and piano sound good with any death metal song.
Death metal can be bad because:
If you do it too much or incorrectly it can damage your vocals.
Sometimes the vocals can be a little bad.
Electronic (rap, hiphop, etc.) music is good because:
There is the occasional good, solid beat, good instrument combos, and meaningful vocals with an overall good tune that I have only ever found in some Eminem songs.
There are a few funny ones like I like for the funniness only.
Electronic (rap, hiphop, etc.) music is ghey & pointless because:
It is just a bunch of noises put toghether to make a barely solid "beat"
The only Human "talent" that is in it only half of the time and is fit to even be called half assed is the singing.
it gets very repetitive
A lot of it is the southpark movie put into a short song. (endless, pointless swearing, disgustingly tasteless humor, and all around retardedly bad.)
And that's my two cents, take it or leave it as you wish, just please, read it at least once and think about it for a minute.
Now see, I could try to look at it from your point of view, but I can't seem to get my head far enough up my ass....

Re: What You Listening To?
Frankly, Death Metal is a retarded version of the great 80's metal where it all started. The likes of Sabbath and Metallica is where rock should have stayed. The sh*t now is pathetic. They have no talent. I'm not saying that all new rap music is good. It isn't but I'd much prefer to listen to Snoop Dogg or Tupac then listen to that piece of p*ss you call music.- No offence made. IMO.
Electronica/Electro is good. Occasionally. I prefer a lot of 90's Electro than people like Calvin Harris these days.
Back on topic,
Slipknot - Before I Forget
^ No, It isn't Death Metal.

Re: What You Listening To?
No. On so many levels. Hitting the drums faster than monkey on speed is not skill. You want to know a good drummer? Neil Peart.
And the SP Movie was a musical. So duh.
And repetitive yelling and screaming does not make a song any good.
And I'm not even gonna go on the other music topics, because I don't really like them.
EDIT: Ninja'd. And the the 80's metal was this best of all.

Re: What You Listening To?
Since we're talking about it, I'd say that the '60s and '70s had the best music. Actual rhythms and melodies were made. Then disco came along and turned music from an artform into a commoditiy. The 80's then followed with their synth pop, where everything became very similar. There were still a few good artists out there, but much more than there is today.

I never said I didn't like the old stuff, I just listened to it over and over until it got too old and then decided to listen to death metal.
