Yeah id agree, fair enough there are heavier bands out there but i wouldnt class them as 'soft metal' either.

I didn't say they were soft and cuddley, but they're certainly not horribly hardcore. the believe CD for example is softer than The sickness. I classify Growling bands like Old Mans Child Metal.

To be fair, sephiroxas said they were "softer" not soft - from what I have (endured) of Disturbed they don't spend half the track growling and grunting at each other in the lowest tones possible which, particularly, death metal bands do.

But anyway...I've managed to hijack this thread far enough- back to everyone listing their favourite rock bands

(btw, does indie exist as a genre anymore or has it been absorbed into the rock section again? Coz I used to love the Cranberries' Zombie track but I was told they were an indie band...even though it sounded pretty rock-ish to me).
