When Married, does Sex make the wife give more expensive gifts?

My characters are virgins. Does sex cause your wife to give you better items more often? I'm not sure what you get from having sex in the game, though it's obvious what will happen in Fable 2.

I'm pretty sure the amount of gifts you receive from your wife depends on how happy she is. And if you're guy is, um, well endowed, she's bound to be more happy if you make the screen go dark

Bonus question: How do I get her in the mood? Diamonds don't seem to work. They were liked more in the olden days, and work like wonders today, so why won't they work?!

Well, it depends on who your trying to woo, if Lady Grey, for example, she loves getting the hellish black rose. And maybe if you have a lot of... um, you get the point, with her/him... s/he may as well give you items. You could also give... red roses, and... oh, say, ONE beer, ONE. If they have 2 or more they won't pay attention to you, and no, it dosen't work if you try to get her drunk and... yada yada...
