Why does everyone think the Red Dragon is so good?

I got the pistol, but i am not all that impressed. it only does 41 damage. i know it shoots fast but why not just use a really powerful rifle instead?

I'm not sure why people loathe this gun. Sure it does 41 damage in one shot and theres A lot of shots before you reload. But.. Your already powerful enough. Just use a rifle or X-bow. Much more fun to use IMO.. And looks awesome on your back.

Yes, the Red Dragon is a "Legendary" ranged weapon. However, I've noticed that the Legendary weapons barely do more damage than the Master weapon types. They do look awesome though.

and legendary weps usually have pretty good augements, usually... id rather have the choice of putting my own three augs on a weapon though (Ghoul, lucky charm, and ???)

personally if im in the mood for pistols i grab my master flintlock pistol with ghoul and lucky charm, or my second one with devestation and lucky charm.

if im in the mood for rifles i snipe with my master flintlock or clockwork with the same 2 augments. either ghoul and lucky charm. or lucky charm devestation. far better than any legendary guns

Yes, it may only have a base damage of 41, but with the Devastation and Lucky Charm Augments, it could roughly estimate around 55-60, give or take. Combine that with your speed and there you have a masterpeice, not a perfect one, but still very shiny.

like i said master flintlock pistol. 80 something base damage. plus devestation and lucky charm. same two augments as red dragon. add in my max speed. and ive still got a better shot lol

Well, there seems more pleasure in killing something with a Legendary Weapon. Also, I think for the speed, it's got nasty speed.

One more thing, don't quote me on that estimate, I could be way off. I just chose what might have been a logical estimate, but I'm also nuts so what do I know of logic.

i prefer the master flintlock pistol and/or rifle, but the red dragon does look and sound cool

Flintlock always does more damage then Clockwork, that's not what makes a gun good. The Red Dragon can fire the most shots in a given amount of time then any other gun.

When your powerful enough that every gun kills with one headshot, the only thing that matters is how fast you can shoot.

i really wish the LE came with a gun from Halo it would have been awesome to run around with a Sniper or a Carbine even if it was total crap it still would look sweet and you could be able to put augments in it like the Energy Sword in the LE

I mostly use the Enforcer on my main character also, its way too much fun.
