Why are so many people mad at people that exploit the pub games glitch

I was just wondering it is not like it will affect your game if some yahoo has 2 bill gold really. I am just saying there is so much hate out there about this. and before you all jump on me yes I used the glitch for my son he's nine and felt it might give him a leg up if he started with like 100,000 gold but for myself I did not glitch for my game.

because if your a real fan and want the full expierence you wouldnt cheat would you?
peter molyneax wouldnt make a punishment for it if he didnt think it would spoil some of the game for you

But It does not fit in with the do whatever you want feel of the game. I would understand if it hurt other players besides yourself (its like blasting people for using the contra code)

"For every choice, a consequence." This is the Fable 2 mantra and fits well within the story's architecture. As Peter has said about using the glitch:

"Don't expect there not to be consequences after all lets remind ourselves that Fable says for every choice a consequence and cheating is a choice"

You don't have any basis to say what a 'real fan' should or shouldn't do. I'm sure every person registered on this forum is a fan of the Fable series, so that excuse isn't going to cut it. And PM never said it was going to spoil the game for anyone. In fact, he said it wasn't a huge deal in a couple of interviews. And yes, everyone is aware there will be consequences.

As to why some people get so uptight over others using the glitch, I really couldn't tell you.

If they want to cheat, Let them cheat!
Its not like it affects us,
I mean, Why be offended if we know we dont,
Let them cheat,
They might now enjoy it like we do!
(Even though i dont like Fable 2 has guns)

Kinda dont like the idea of guns in Fable II, but after reading tales of Albion chapter II, I guess it kinda makes sense..

I guess some ppl just cant stand the thought of someone having an easy time getting gold and eventually owning all of Albion, when that's the same thing you wanna do - except without cheating.
So you wanna own all of Albion and get the achievement for it, without cheating, but since you can cheat, and theres no way of telling if you cheated to get the achievement, it makes it less of an acomplishment to own all of Albion...
sounds a bit gay, I know, it's just a thought..
and I know many of you arent achievement sluts, so you probably wouldnt strive to own all of Albion as much as I would..

it will only affect those who choose to play online, because gold will hold no value and things in the economy will then change. If you have ever played diablo 2 you will no that gold has no value, and the currency of that game was a ring, with 40 of those rings you could buy whatever item you wanted...

its just for online play purposes, it will ruin the economy. Everyone will have bought entire cities and everything like that

It has a lot to do with the fact that happiness is based upon comparison. If my friend has five bucks and I have 50 by comparrison I'm doing pretty well. If my friend has 5000 I'm relatively poor. Even though I have the same money in each situation it feels much different.

So those who chose for what ever reason to not glitch want those who do to suffer some kind of punishment so that by comparison they are doing better. I mean who doesn't want to be on the "winning" side of a situation.

its like asking why are people so mad at the kids who mod in halo 2? because it takes no effort and shows how much skill you lack at the game, but because they have godlike powers they run around thinking they are the best players.

same thing with fable 2. 'I glitched the game i own everything in the game and you dont HA HA, im so effing 1337' thats what all the children are going to be saying, not realizing their own stupidity that they could never achieve this playing the game properly.

Modding in Halo 2 was completely different than glitching because when people modded in matchmaking, they directly ruined the experience for other players.Fable 2 is not an MMORPG, if someone glitched their money and their economy was effected accordingly, it's still their world. It does not effect your experience at all. And so what if a bunch of children are going to be running around bragging? That doesn't affect your game in the slightest, either.

People have to stop worrying about how everyone else got their gold and just enjoy the game in their own way.

I don't personally care what other people do. I played fair, I earned 100k and I am content, if some person wants to cheat themselves that's their choice, even if it is the wrong choice. I plan to be extremely evil in my game, but cheating just doesn't seem logical.
