I know what you mean. I had a moment of insanity, when I pierced my ears.

It hurt me a lot. It depends on who you are. I have a very low pain thresh hold.

lol me to! i had one of my little insane moments and just went in and got my ears peirced! didnt hurt much.

Penetration to me isn't that painful. I've had nails in various body parts without feeling the pain, only discovering it when I saw all the blood. If I felt like it, I'd probably get some piercing done.

Now, injecting things, like shots at the doctor's, now that hurts like a sonuvabeyotch. Especially in the toes...
