Successfully trialed in schools and health clubs in the UK, the Gamercize has proved six times more engaging than exercise alone and twice as popular as a dedicated video game racing bike.
The concept was conceived in 2004 when, now company director, Richard Coshott designed the first Gamercize for his children. They played games for only as long as they kept exercising, which proved successful in increasing their fitness and willingness to be more active in general. Following successful grant of patent the company was formed and products have been sold worldwide to consumers on all continents.
The GZ Pro-Sport will be officially launched on February 21 2008, in partnership with Southampton Football Club, where commercial installations for PlayStation3 and Xbox 360 will be unveiled simultaneously in two Southampton City Council leisure centres.

its a good idea though in my opinion. itll help those "chunkyc' kids slim down some, while they have fun. i shouldve thought of that.

im curious as to what the price will be though

yea its a good idea there are many fat ppl in the world ans who knows this mite catch on and make a difference but i am just kinda asking my self y the hell dose Microsoft and other game ppls even care if were fat (im not fat soo)

well, like a lot of companies out there in the world, i think microsoft cares about obesity and is trying to make a difference in that by inventing a fun excercise machine

I think Microsoft cares about money, not obesity. I'm sure they would sell next to anything if they thought that it would sell well.

Most kids are too lazy ( And you need to be like 18 where i live)

I think this thing looks pretty gay.

I can just imagine kids exorcising and playing games at the same time. Don't think i'd like it at least.

It's bad for you to exercise at a gym before you're fully grown(muscle development n' stuff), you can damage yourself pretty badly.

So how does this thing work? You "pedal" it to make you run or something? Cause if I'm playing Halo 3, I'll be screwed; I can't run as fast as a 7ft tall Spartan super soldier!

I can so see parents buying their kids a xbox 360 as long as they use this machine with it... It will cut down on obese kids in America and amount of time kids play video games.
I think its a great idea... for MY kids, f-ck if I use that thing. I'll just use my "Perfect Push-up" and weights.

I have too much ADD to be able to work that think and kill people on Halo 3.

Oh and does anyone remember the Track Pad for Nintendo doing the track and field video game?
