Need a router to do that (thats why i bought one). Allows you to have more than one Ethernet cable going into PC at one time.

They arent hard to set up really when you get your head around it, i was confused with mine for a while but that was because a setting was wrong and i had to change it.

Get a router that is also a modem, then you just plug PC into it and also Xbox into it.

Re: Xbox Live?
what about if I get another modem, connect it to the TV cable coming out of my wall, then connect it with an ethernet cable to my Xbox...would that work?

Why would you want to connect a Modem to a TV cable? Wouldnt that just be a more awkward way than buying a router and just hooking both PC and Xbox to that?

Re: Xbox Live?
well, my ISP is my also my cable provider, and my PC and Xbox are on opposite ends of the house, so I doubt I'd be able to run an ethernet cable that far....

Yeah i re-read your previous post afterwards, i would have suggested a wireless router and wireless adapter if it was a 360. Have to take a look on your ISP website to see if you can get another connection somehow to another point in house, or risk just having a huge ethernet cable going from point of connection to Xbox

Lucky! People used to tell me I lagged without a router. I can only imagine how bad it would be if I had a router and I have cable.
