Xbox Live Question

If i create an account and i don't have live:

A) when i get live can i use this account

B) will i be able tranfer all the data from my xbox (gamescore etc.) when i get live

when i got live i had to start a new profile and re earn all my acheivments. thats what im currently busy doing, and its not that fun.

Yeah i mean
If you make it right at the start saying like nothing about gold or silver then whatever then when you get xboxlive you can use that account, thats what i did and i have my gamerscore..

So yeahhh..

You can upgrade your account to Xbox Live account and keep gamerscore in some cases (did it for my little cousin on Sunday). However sometimes it isnt possible either (i had to start again with mine). So its possible and you should try it when you apply for live.

Just to add: You might be eligible for one month free Xbox LIVE gold any way. To my understanding, all Xbox 360s allow the first 5 created profiles to have one free month of Xbox LIVE. I mean, if you're not worried about Gamerscore, you could just create a new profile each month for 5 months and not have to pay a penny for gold until that final month is over. That's what a few of the people on my friends list do.

Thats what my cousin does. Though ive gave him 2 months free that i got already, just because its fun to play on COD 4 with him and his brother.

Yeah you have to mkae a Silver account that is GOING to STAY as Silver membership then you get a Free gold Membership for 1 Month.. Thats what alot of people are doing..

Yes, you will be able to use your existing profile and you will keep all the achievements. I think the only issues that might prevent it is if the profile name you used is already in use as someone else's gamertag. But I would expect that they would give you the option to change it.
