Xbox Live What i need

I know this is a stupid thing to ask and if i look on the internet i could find the answer to it but ive tried that and i just get confused ive never been that botherd with live befor but now that fable 2 is coming i wana get on it so please if its not to much trouble can someone tell me all the things i need to get on live

Ethernet Cable (or wireless adapter)

Its as simple as that.

I think you would need a Ethernet cable a headset (optional) and Xbox live gold subscription and good broadband connection.

If you have the premium or elite you should have got the headset and the Ethernet cable with it. that is all you need I think.

another tool that helps is a 5 way hub. it can be used directly from your modem to itself then to the xbox. no router needed

Most Computer stores sell ethernet cables in excess up to about 15 metres for about 15 bucks so if you're stuck trying to find you're old one just get a newer longer one.

plus it's way cheaper than one of microsoft's wireless adaptors, i think walmart sells budget usb wireless adaptors though.

iv been wondering the same thing, but do i still need a router if i am useing a wireless modem? and could i just connect the xbox to my laptop (wich is using the wireless modem) or would i have to get a wireless adapter? if so, where do i get one?

Well in order for the 360 to pick up wireless signals at all it needs a wireless adapter or something to get the signal first.

but what about plugging into his laptop? as that is what I'm trying (and hoping and praying) to do with my desktop...

Im not sure what the modem detection would be like in that case as i havent seen anyone do it that way before.
